USA Friends Scholarships for Postgraduate Students at University of Sussex in UK

University of Sussex offers scholarships for postgraduate students of the USA in UK. Two scholarships are offered for one year. The scholarships will provide $10,000 and will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Courses taught at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) are not eligible for the scholarship except for the MA Gender and Development course. Application should be submitted till 3rd April 2014.

Study Subject (s): Scholarships are provided for any one of the courses offered at taught Master’s degree level by the University of Sussex (Courses taught at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) are not eligible for the scholarship except for the MA Gender and Development course).

Eligibility: Nationals or residents of the USA who will be studying a one year taught Master’s degree course at the University of Sussex. Courses taught at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) are not eligible for the scholarship except for the MA Gender and Development course.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of the USA can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description: Thanks to the generosity of our North American alumni and the Friends of the University of Sussex, two scholarships of an amount equivalent to $10,000 are available to nationals or residents of the USA who will be studying a one year taught Master’s degree course at the University of Sussex.

Number of award (s): Two scholarships are offered.        

Duration of award (s): Scholarships are offered for one year.

What does it cover? The scholarships will provide $10,000.

Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.

Notification: Applicants will be notified by 6th June 2014. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email.
