Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship Competition in USA



Approximately 60 Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowships are available for graduate study leading to a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degree. The fellowship provides three years of support.

Fellowships are tenable at any fully accredited, non-proprietary (not for profit) U.S. institution of higher education offering a Ph.D. or Sc.D. degree in the eligible fields of study. All arrangements for acceptance into a doctoral program at the chosen institution are the responsibility of the applicant. An applicant need not be accepted by the chosen institution at the time of application.

NASF Scholarship Award Program in USA



NASF Scholarship is awarded to both national and international applicants for 2014/2015 academic year. The scholarship award is available to both undergraduates and graduates for studying chemical engineering, material science or engineering, mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, environmental engineering, or chemistry. Scholarships are worth $1,500.00 USD. Candidates must demonstrate academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular activities. The deadline for application is December 9, 2014.

United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program (USSP) in USA



Applications are invited for United States–South Pacific Scholarship Program (USSP) which is funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. Up to four scholarships will be available for studies to begin in August 2014. These scholarships are awarded to academically talented individuals from South Pacific countries to pursue bachelor’s or master’s degree study at US institutions. The scholarship program will include a summer enrichment program in Honolulu. BA scholarship recipients will also do a four to five-week community service project in the student’s home country. The application deadline is February 1, 2014.

Benjamin H. Stevens Graduate Fellowship in Regional Science for North American Citizens



The North American Regional Science Council of the Regional Science Association International (NARSC-RSAI) is inviting applications for Benjamin H. Stevens graduate fellowship for the 2014/15 year. This fellowship is awarded to graduate students enrolled in PhD programs in North America for pursuing thesis research in Regional Science. Eligible students should have completed all degree requirements except for their dissertation by the time the Fellowship commences. The Fellowship consists of a stipend in the amount of $30,000 (U.S.), paid over a twelve-month period. The application deadline is February 15, 2014.

MATE/MTS ROV Students Scholarships for US Applicants in USA



The ROV Scholarship fund is providing students scholarships for graduates, undergraduates and high school seniors in the USA. Scholarships are provided in the field of marine/ocean sciences or engineering, or a closely related field with an emphasis on ROV technology and ROV technology offered. There are currently two scholarship categories: MTS MATE ROV Scholarship and the MTS ROV Scholarship. Application should be submitted till April 14, 2014.

JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (Short-term) for North American and European Researchers



Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is inviting applications for the postdoctoral fellowship program (Short-term). These fellowships are awarded for pre/post-doctoral researchers from US, Canada, the European Union Countries, (as of 1 April 2013) Switzerland, Norway and Russia to conduct cooperative research with leading research groups in universities and other Japanese institutions. Approximately 60 fellowships will be granted in FY 2014 for a period of 1 to 12 months. Successful candidates must start the fellowship in Japan during the period of 1 April 2014 – 31 March 2015.
