Master Application Developer

Master Application Developer position with Capital One Services, LLC in Vienna, VA; Multiple positions available:

- Lead technical design, development, modification, and implementation of computer applications using existing and emerging technology platforms with responsibility for overall delivery of mobile software application systems.
- Manage, coordinate, and lead project teams of up to 20 IT professionals along multiple workstreams, providing functional, technical, and process leadership utilizing SDLC.
- Analyze and define internal user needs and desired results to understand the scope of work, priorities, and requirements for development and develop software solutions.
- Develop mobile applications using Java, J2EE based in tiered architecture, XML, web services, weblogic, iOS, Android, and Worklight.
- Manage the design, coding, testing, implementation, and debugging of programs adhering to corporate requirements and standards.
- Perform application testing and validation, programming, and documentation.
- Document design decisions, adhering to existing process guidelines, develop software components, and mentor junior developers.
- Monitor and enforce company policies regarding development methodology, architecture, security, and change and configuration management.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor implementation process.
- Own change management process for assigned configuration items.
- Monitor system performance trends and identify potential issues, identify opportunities for improvement.
- Present complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's or higher degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate application development experience. Must have the following skills through formal education or work experience: Coordinating work of others along multiple workstreams; presentation of complex IT concepts and project metrics to both technical and non-technical audiences; SDLC; Java; J2EE based in tiered architecture; XML; web services; weblogic; mobile development on iOS and Android; and Worklight.

Must pass company's analytical assessment.
