Job Function:
The Territory Manager, under the direction of the District Sales Manager, sells food and non-food items, develops and maintains a base of accounts and achieves sales and gross profit requirements.
Nature and Scope:
Responsible for acquiring and developing new accounts and selling to achieve sales and gross profit budget requirements.
Essential Functions:
Manages the business relationship between the foodservice operator and US Foodservice Los Angeles Division.
Grows sales with new business from qualified prospective customers and achieves individual sales goals.
Represents product offering to customers that assist in achieving the business goals of the foodservice operator.
Creates a need for and sells in all 10 product categories that US foodservice offers.
Manages, communicates, and collects A/R in his customer portfolio, working with the credit manager and client.
Records and transmits customer orders through company computer to the client's satisfaction.
Visits all clients on a consistent basis that has been agreed upon by both client and TM.
Manages deliveries to the transportation dept. routing schedule; attends all Company -sponsored sales meetings
Minimum Requirements:
* Must have a minimum of 1year commission based sales experience with U.S. Foodservice, past or present OR
* Present employment with a competitor foodservice company and currently working in the geographical areas served by the Los Angeles Division.
* Excellent customer service, presentation, organizational and communication skills
* Basic personal computer experience with knowledge of MS Office software
* Valid CA Driver License
* No DUI convictions within the past 3 years prior to employment
