Job Description
We are seeking a Pricing Analyst to perform analyses on pricing trends, consumer habits, and product costs to drive key business decisions through financial data. Prepares data models, reports, forecasts and analyses on industry and general economic trends.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve pricing on strategic deals analyzing profitability under various scenarios.
- Assist in creating pricing policy decisions and in testing the market.
- Create new pricing models and updates to existing product line models.
- Performs profitability analysis.
- Validate results of pricing strategies.
- Prepare and create customer and product profitability analysis.
- Assist in creating new systemic tools to approve pricing models.
- Produce deal metrics.
- Lead analyst meetings.
- Create purchase order activity reports and researches spend reports.
- Share knowledge and be a mentor to other analysts.
- Drive Rackspace Culture.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Advance technical knowledge financial systems modeling (Oracle, Hyperion, Excel), forecasting and analysis processes.
- Advance understanding of overall financial function and interrelated components.
- Advance understanding of product valuation and pricing analysis.
- Ability to create most complex forecasting models.
- Must also possess high attention to detail and be capable of performing most complex data analysis for extended periods of time.
- Expert Excel skills required.
- Must have advanced presentation skills, ability to express most complex quantitative concepts to non-financial audience.
- Advance communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be a strategic, analytical thinker who can execute vision and communicate results very effectively while inspiring those around them.
- Must be interested in driving and maintaining a great culture.
- Must be an information sharer, and work well across functional departments.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
- Bachelor's degree required in business, finance or a related field.
- MBA or CFA desirable.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial, pricing, economic, and/or business analysis or a related field.
- Hyperion and Oracle experience required.
- Prefer SQL experience, or VB Excel.
- Economics and Statistics backgrounds welcomed.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
