 Pentair Process Technologies provides solutions for the toughest filtration, separation and fluid process management challenges. We serve the commercial, municipal and industrial markets with both water and nonwater filtration, separation and fluid process solutions. End-markets include oil and gas, power generation, chemical, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, foodservice, medical, municipal and industrial desalination, and water and wastewater treatment. We manufacture and sell an array of advanced technologies including filtration and separation systems; micro, ultra and nano filtration membranes; filter cartridges; specialty pumps and valves; pressure vessels; CO2 systems; and quality control & measurement equipment.
The Field Service Engineer is responsible for traveling to customer’s locations, taking detailed measurements of existing equipment, designing new internals to accept Pentair products, installing the new hardware and related products. 

Essential Job Functions
  1. This position is responsible for creating new designs and ensuring the manufacturability of said designs. 
  2. The field work is outdoors, exposed to the elements and can be somewhat physical including physical activities such as climbing, crawling, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 75 lbs. 
  3. Numerous safety training modules are required specific to the refinery industry.  There is also a need for general refinery operation and protocol.                              
Other Responsibilities
  • Travel: 50% to 75%. 
  • Exceptional mechanical aptitude and basic working knowledge of various hand tools and installation devices. 
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD.  Ability to use 3D CAD packages such as Inventor and SolidWorks a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of standard dimensioning practices. 
  • Ability to design or redesigning upgraded hardware for vessel internals
  • Must be able to enter industrial facilities such as refineries, gas and petrochemical plants.
  • Must be able to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC). 
Required Skills:  
Education: Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
Specific Skills: Hands on mechanical experience to include the use of measurement tools & installation equipment.
