This position is located in the Facilities Management Service (FMS), Facilities and Commercial Services Division (FCSD) of Office of Central Support Services (OCSS), Department of Management (DM). FMS provides, among other tasks, customer services through implementation of the building, architectural and engineering services.

The Facilities Management Service internship is for three (3) months with an opportunity for extension, pending on the needs of the department.
The internship is UNPAID and full-time. Interns work five days per week (35 hours) under the supervision of a staff member in the department or office to which they are assigned.

Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of Chief, Office Space and Assets Unit (OSAU) and within delegated authority, the OSAU intern will assist in the following duties:
- Assist with the creation of an Inventory of the architectural records
- Assist Project Manager with administrative aspects of managing large volume of construction drawings
- Support in creating a catalogue the architectural records in ARMS electronic record-keeping system
- Assist with archiving of technical drawings
- Assist in conducting preservation digitization when appropriate
- Performs other related duties as required.

Education
Applicants must be enrolled in a degree programme in a graduate school (second university degree or higher); or if pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages, have completed at least four years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent Institution towards the completion of a degree, preferably in the area of Architecture or archives/records management (Computer Science, Information Management Systems or related field); Familiarity with archival processing standards.
Have a demonstrated keen interest in the work of the United Nations

Work Experience
Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the programme.

Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of other UN official languages is an advantage.
