Position Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist
will be responsible for identifying and tracking appropriate land tenure and
food security indicators for relevant program interventions. She/he will lead
evaluations for various land tenure and food security programs around the world
and will promote the sharing of evidence-based knowledge on how land tenure and
property rights can support sustainable land use. This will be a full-time
position based in Washington, D.C..
Responsibilities:
Design and
implement impact and performance evaluations utilizing quantitative and
qualitative methodologies.
Ensure
compliance with USAID's Evaluation Policy.
Assist in
the communication of evidence-based knowledge around land tenure and property
rights practices.
Participate in trainings as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's
Degree in economics or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.
Demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis, research design and
sampling expertise.
Experience
developing monitoring and evaluation systems for a wide variety of land tenure
projects.
Familiar
with the application of qualitative and quantitative methodologies for
assessing project impact and be able to apply such methodologies to strengthen
knowledge and awareness of the land tenure interventions.
Fluency in
a second language.
