Cardno ENTRIX is seeking an Economist to help us expand our natural resource economics practice in the Eastern Division of the US.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
• Directing and participating in economic research on a wide range of projects on environmental and economic topics, providing guidance to research economists on data sources and analytical methods
• Providing technical support and economic analyses for a wide range of projects
• Participating in report writing, including documentation of analytical methods and presentation of results in graphical and written terms easily understood by non-economists
• Providing internal technical and editorial review of economic studies
• Providing guidance to other economists on research methods and analytical techniques
• Assisting in fostering a strong team environment and developing high-quality products

Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Ph.D. degree in Resource or Agricultural Economics with at least one or more years of post-degree relevant professional work experience, OR a M.S. degree in Resource or Agricultural Economics with at least five years of relevant professional experience
•Experience in economics related to water, land and agriculture, environmental issues, energy, and related issues
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, including knowledge and skills related to practical application of economic theory, mathematics, statistics, and quantitative methods to measure economic benefits and costs of projects and policies
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship

Desired Qualifications:
•Background in environmental and natural sciences
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as the candidate will work closely with clients and other employees on a variety of projects
• Solid time-management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks and projects with tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently and with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
• Coursework in business, finance, planning, environmental science, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Word & Excel, and demonstrated ability to work with statistical software
• Bilingual capabilities (Spanish) is a plus
