Primary Job
• The only mechanical expertise you need to have is an aptitude for making custom cables with minimal documentation.
• Build / update an existing automated test station which will be a copy of an existing station
• Make and route interconnecting cables
• Add sub-assemblies and cable harnesses to test station mechanical and electrical
• Bring up and debug test station
• Validate test station
• Validate test procedures software and hardware
• Improve connections and operation of sub-assemblies with new PCBAs
• Improve the routing of cables
• Improve the cable layout that connects to the unit-under-test

Experience / Education
PRIORITY:
• Experienced with digital, analog, and electromechanical circuits
• Use of common electrical instrumentation digital oscilloscope, DMM, arbitrary function generator, DC laboratory bench supply
• Debugged PCBA s and assemblies to part level analog and digital

IMPORTANT:
• Worked in a development engineering department for a minimum of 5 years with a focus on electronics
• Debugged systems controlled by a PC or an embedded processor
• Performed and documented validation of a process or piece of hardware e.g. electrical assembly, test procedure, test station, product design validation
• Constructed and documented cables
• Use of hand tools i.e. connector pin crimpers
• Proficient with a PC including Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
• Written assembly procedures or test procedures
• Helped transfer processes or procedures to a production environment

Bonus
• Familiar with LabVIEW (a large portion of the work involves LabVIEW in some way.)
• Maintained automated production test systems
• Used system with IEEE-488 controlled instruments
