PACT Marketing Specialist Job Vacancy in Washington, United States of America

Position Summary:
Pact is seeking talented and energetic Marketing Specialist s responsible for carrying forward meaningful messages through words, ideas, and images that deliver upon the promises / benefits of the organization, that are in line with Pact's brand, and that can be directly correlated to increased revenue generation. The
Marketing and Communications Department is responsible for the overall "look and feel" of Pact. The team fosters effective, creative, and cooperative communications throughout the organization. Ideal candidates bring positive energy to this dynamic (and fun) work environment.

The Marketing Specialist (MS) is responsible for preparing visual presentations and/or print copy for external use. The MS designs art and copy layouts and provides substantive input on message development. The MS may also consolidate and edit original content, both of narrative and non-narrative material, developed by others. Graphics and text may be requested and produced in digital and non-digital formats. The MS also serves as webmaster of Pact's external website, updating graphics and text as required. The MS reports to a Marketing Manager.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gathers information and materials related to external marketing campaigns, including short narratives from clients, donors, and/or employees.
• Illustrates marketing messages and concepts by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts
• Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment
• Serves as webmaster of Pact external website, including management of web traffic
• Establishes and maintains Pact corporate presence on external online media including appropriate use of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, corporate blogs and other tools.
• Advises the organization on the purchase and use of new technologies , especially web-based media and new communications platforms; ensures operation of specialized printing equipment through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions
• Arranges and maintains relationships with external consultants and vendors (agencies, art services, printers, web designers, etc.) and outsources projects, as requested
• Maintains technical knowledge and skills by attending design workshops, reviewing trade publications, and participating in professional societies.
• Other duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including design and desktop publishing

Preference for:
• More than 2 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated project management skills, including both process and budgetary oversight
• Ability and desire to professionally represent Pact at external events
• Ability to persuade others to provide contributions and meet deadlines without direct authority
