International Students Scholarships in Brandeis University USA

Characterized by academic excellence since its founding in 1948, Brandeis is one of the youngest private research universities, as well as the only nonsectarian Jewish-sponsored college or university in the country. Named for the late Justice Louis Dembitz Brandeis of the U.S. Supreme Court, Brandeis University combines the faculty and resources of a world-class research institution with the intimacy and personal attention of a small liberal arts college. Brandeis is ranked in the top tier of the nation's universities. Our graduates depart to
pursue careers in a wide array of fields, and advanced studies in the nation's leading graduate and professional schools.

Brandeis has been a welcoming place for international students since its inception in 1948. Our commitment to the international community was enhanced in 1958 with the establishment of the Wien International Scholarship Program, an extensive grant program that awards deserving students based on a combination of academic merit and financial need. Throughout our history, we have valued the energy, perspective and enthusiasm that the international student population brings towards enhancing campus life.

The Wien International Scholarship Program at Brandeis University has been committed to furthering international understanding, providing foreign students an opportunity to study in the United States, and enhancing the lives of all students at Brandeis. More than 800 students from over 100 countries have come to Brandeis as Wien Scholars. The program provides either full or partial need-based tuition awards to applicants who have demonstrated outstanding academic and personal achievement.

The Wien International Scholarship Program provides full and partial scholarships to high achieving international applicants. Full Wien Scholarships combine scholarship, university employment and loan to cover the full cost of attendance at Brandeis. Partial Wien Scholarships also combine scholarship, university employment and loans to meet the demonstrated financial need of a student. Wien Scholars who work outside of the United States after graduation will have their Wien loans forgiven over the course of five years.
