Job Description
We are looking for a Software Developer who can work within a team-based environment doing hands-on configurations and customizations on the Servicenow.com platform, with immediate attention on launching Service Desk. Responsible for the full software development life cycle for deploying Service Desk, including Service Catalog, Change Management, and Incident Management. Responsible for ongoing enhancements
and maintenance of the application, as well as implementing other modules within Servicenow.com. Responsible for providing development estimates used in project planning, as well as evaluation of progress and results of development efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Performs complex product design activities requiring extensive research and analysis.
- Performs design, implementation and maintenance of complex, multiple product modules/sub-systems.
- Participates in product design meetings with business owners.
- Provides well thought out options for key technical decisions to deliver quality solutions.
- Requires strong analytical skills to identify upstream and downstream impacts of configuration changes.
- Collaborates with Business Analysts and Quality Assurance to perform complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- Researches problems discovered by QA or Production Support, and develops solutions to the problems.
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
- Documentation of development work.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and according to quality standards.
- Acts as the primary technical contact for our consultants.
- Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.

Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Strong technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
- Skilled at translating functional requirements into technical requirements.
- Able to write javascript for customizations in the platform, as well as configure the tool using administrative user interfaces.
- Ideally familiar with ITIL and IT Service Management domains.
- Knowledge of the Servicenow.com platform is a plus.
- Ability to learn new technical skills is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering or computer science; advanced degree desirable.
- Requires five to seven years of experience in software design or product support.
- Must have proven development experience in the following technologies: Javascript, SQL, XML, HTML, web services. Ruby or Java experience is a plus.
- Experience with Agile is preferred.
- Requires excellent analytical and design skills in a complex, highly integrated enterprise application environment.
- Strong skills in research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
- Effective communicator, both verbally and written.
- Works well in a team and has great interpersonal skills.
