The Task Force for
Global Health (The Task Force) is a not-for-profit, public health organization
with a 27-year history of improving the lives of millions of people around the
globe. Working with partners around the world, the Task Force manages an array
of initiatives focused on neglected tropical diseases , immunization and

The International
Trachoma Initiative (ITI), one of the programs of The Task Force, is a
partnership with Pfizer, Inc. Pfizer, Inc donates significant quantities of
Zithromax through ITI for the elimination of blinding trachoma by the year
2020. Over the next couple of years the program expects a significant increase
in the number of countries where ITI is working and number of treatments
donated. In addition, some countries where ITI is currently working will be
shifting their program towards surveillance instead of active implementation.

The Deputy Director
is a primary representative of the International Trachoma Initiative and serves
as the main liaison to all collaborating partners. He/she will oversee the
development of short and long-term strategic direction for ITI, undertake new
initiatives and projects, and establish the program's policies and procedures.
The Deputy Director is responsible for managing ITI's technical and financial
operations including supply chain management . The successful candidate will
have ten years of program management experience in international public health
programs, five years of field experience in developing countries , preferably
first-hand experience with drug donation programs and neglected tropical
disease programs, and familiarity with supply chain management .
