Eligibility:
-This scholarship is open to all undergraduates who are permanent residents of Guam and are entering or are enrolled at GCC, from freshman through senior levels.
-To maintain eligibility for the scholarship, recipient must be a full-time student, maintaining academic progress toward a degree, with a GPA of 3.0.
- Student must show evidence of financial need. This is to be determined by the Financial Aid Office of the Guam Community College. The Financial Aid Office will make an analysis of the family’s financial strength.
- Applicants must submit a financial aid form (FAF) to the Financial Aid Office. An applicant may be a recipient of other scholarship programs
Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: The Soroptimist International of the Marianas (SIM) is sponsoring a Scholarship program for Guam Community College (GCC) students. These Scholarships are awarded primarily to encourage students from Guam to pursue an undergraduate degree.. An award of $1000 will be given to one student this year. Scholarships are awarded on a one-time basis; however, scholarship recipients may be awarded each year if eligibility criterions are met and funds become available. Proof of acceptance/enrollment and a 3.0 grade point average must be provided to SIM prior to distribution of the awards.
