Job Description
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will coordinate and monitor both business processes and technical projects from initiation through delivery within the Hybrid Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and monitors technical and business process projects from initiation through delivery
- Ensures projects are completed according to the Rackspace strategy
- Remains aware of any potential problems and works to mitigate any risks
- Monitors project deliverables and progress through continuous communication with project members
- Prepares reports on project progress and problems
- Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical departments in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met
- Assists management with evaluation and development of a project plan
- Keeps appropriate people informed of project progress
- Disseminates information on any problems or potential delays
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience managing projects, inter-related IT and Business requirements, experience in managing people or leading project teams desired
- Project Management Certification (PMP), and Technical Project Management Training, preferred.
- Significant experience in implementation and deployment of projects focused on achieving outstanding customer satisfaction
- Experience in process excellence
- Experience working with the business to deliver on needs and working effectively across divisional lines in a complex, multi-site organization
- Expert MS PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong organizational and cross-team communication skills
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
