This position requires the development of creative strategies to promote our Artists and releases locally and nationally. We are looking for an organized, efficient communicator with a passion for culture and trends.
The key responsibilities will be:
- To pitch story ideas, arrange and facilitate artist interviews for print & online media and manage media campaigns
- To develop artist biographies & press releases
- To develop creative relationships with media, technology and live events contacts and brand partnerships
- Liaise with artists, managers and international promo teams to implement social networking and direct to consumer campaigns
- Contribute content to digital campaigns across platforms and Warp.net
Position requirements:
- 3+ years working in music (marketing, publicity or live events)
- Significant relationships within the music industry
- Contacts with leading promoters, club owners and taste-makers in major US markets
- Working knowledge of current music technology and emerging creative applications & software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic HTML knowledge useful
