Security Operations Manager

 Job Purpose:
This Security Service Center Manager position will be a 40 hour per week, Monday-Friday, Securitas position and will report to the SSC & Access Control Group. The position will be responsible for managing a global command center and the daily operations conducted by the staff.  This position is located in Cambridge, MA.

Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand a global presence and the business to apply with the capabilities of the SSC.
  • Responsible for hiring/training/departing with SSC staff and evaluation of on the job performance.
  • Technical understanding and development with software, applications and system enhancements.
  • Provide weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and updates to senior management.
  • Develop and manage monthly written drills for SSC related areas of improvement. 
  • Work with security platforms to integrate programs with command center environment.
  • Maintain updates of documentation, processes, policies and standard operation procedures.
  • Establish interaction with ALL SSC Analysts through frequent communication.
  • Ensure that all reports, records, duty logs and other materials are submitted by security personnel.
    • Provide final approval of the same.
  • Manage the enforcement of Security rules and regulations.
  • Ability to make confident decisions and assessment on global incidents that impact the business.
  • Participate in weekly meetings concerning systems, project management, operations and able to communicate findings of such meetings to the staff.
  • Liaison with local, state and federal agencies and build relationships with the private sector of security.
  • Counsel, advise, motivate and when necessary, discipline personnel assigned to the account according to the Securitas Corporate Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Must maintain highly confidential atmosphere within the room and insure that information is not disseminated to other except on a need to know basis.
  • Provide tours, maintain clean and organized environment of the SSC.
  • Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to interact with senior management effectively.
  • Travel may be required and other duties/projects as assigned.

Experience desired:
Preferred BA/BS
At least 2 year experience in a CommandCenter environment
3-5 years experience in the Security or work related field.
2 years of supervisory or leadership experience
Proficient in MS Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
ProWatch, Network Client, PPM, web applications, and technical support experience a plus.
Working knowledge of security policies and standard operating procedures
24/7 availability and access is required
