The company
Our client is a global firm, drawing on a macro expert network to advance the clients' interests at the intersection of politics and economics, government and business. They work closely with corporate clients to
identify the key political, economic, legal and regulatory factors affecting their commercial interests in complex markets where macro factors often can determine success or failure.

The role
Based in New York, USA, this senior and vital role will primarily involve you the development and performance of all new business generation and key account activities. You will be expected to rapidly deliver an increase in the company’s sales performance by developing and maintaining existing relationships with high level executives from within the financial and corporate sectors in the region and ensure that sales and marketing development strategies are rolled out and effectively implemented. You will be presenting and selling the company’s products at the highest levels and there will be a large focus on the development of new business; you will be expected to develop action plans to identify specific targets.

You should be a highly motivated persuasive communicator and networker, with strong written and verbal presentation skills and have experience dealing at the highest levels with a formidable sales record and contacts in the B2B business information, finance and consultative services sector ideally across North America.

Your profile
• Extensive sales track record gained in the b2b advisory or consultative sales, which have involved you in selling analysis and advisory services, ideally in the North American arena, with a deep knowledge of geopolitics and international affairs, competitive intelligence and macroeconomic principles. An advanced degree in a related field is highly desirable.
• Around 5-10 years of business development experience with the ability to develop and deliver presentations and create, compose and edit written materials.
• Exceptional negotiation and closing skills at both f2f and telephone levels able to engage with senior level board corporate clients and government officials alike, with the ability to not only succeed in new business but identify and action opportunities from existing accounts.
• Exceptional administration and organisational skills including knowledge of revenue and expense forecasts.
• Be a team player and be able to work with other internal depts. in maximising business opportunities and group sales, as well as have great man management skills with the ability to grow and develop new sales employees.
• Be highly self motivated and be able to source significant levels of new business as well as relish the challenge of attaining and surpassing set goals and key performance indicators.
• You MUST be already working in the USA or have the right to work/live there.
