Responsibilities:
The Product Technical Field Support team supports the large array of hardware, systems, tools and software applications used by our customers in the entertainment industry.

We are currently in need of a support specialist to assist us with the creation, maintenance and publishing of knowledge documents and to manage and deliver training programs at Dolby facilities and online to educate front line support personnel and dealers with highly specialized knowledge pertaining to cinema, broadcast, video, and mobile product operation and maintenance.
- Uses experience and deep technical knowledge to generate, edit and publish relevant knowledge articles and training materials.
- Visits regional offices to gather tribal knowledge and key concepts surrounding product support and customer needs.
- Works hand-in-hand with creative service team to constantly review and update technical documents to ensure they are accurate, relevant and up-to-date.
- Create field bulletins, training materials and user manuals.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems where analysis of situation requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
- Strong problem solving ability and good verbal and written communications skills.
- Develop and deliver training courses both on-line and on-site in regional offices.
- Manages information posted on internal team sites and external portals, ftp and secure web sites
- Maintains database and copies of all training materials for use by other groups and offices.
- Experience with professional and consumer software applications.
- Uses office systems and software suites including Adobe Photoshop, 3D StudioMax, Premiere, Microsoft Office, and SalesForce.com CRM.
- Excellent understanding of network protocols (DNS, DHCP, NIS etc).

Qualifications:
- Minimum of +4 years of engineering systems experience with BS degree, or +3 years with MS degree, in an engineering field.
- In-depth understanding of network topology design and administration thereof.
- Solid background in Windows, Macintosh and Linux development environments.
- Experience in Product Management, Product Marketing or Business Development for a High Tech product manufacturer.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent presentation skills using multiple media types.
- Experience with HTML, Visual Basic, Java Script and CSS
- Experience in Broadcast, Post Production or Cinema systems and workflow a plus.
- Experience in Web site design and creation a plus
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting specific deadlines.
- Ability to impact current business opportunities through application of specialized technical knowledge
- Ability to travel as required fulfilling position requirements. Some international travel may be required.
- Ability to work at a computer 9 hours a day.
