The Life Skills Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor expands WV's global understanding of and contribution to life skills learning outcomes assessment and improves evaluation, documentation, credibility, and dissemination of our life skills program results and policy initiatives. Life skills learning outcomes include spiritual and values development, and the skills and competencies required for children to participate as citizens and agents of change in their families and communities. S/he ensures consistency and rigor in our evaluations across sites with a focus on life skills education programming. With a proven track record in a fast paced, complex and ideally global organisation, you will have a desire, to help others and model ethics in line with the foundations and ethos of the organisation.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Lead WV's learning outcomes research, building capacity in the organization for evidence-driven adolescent life skills education programming and improving our measurement of subjective well-being, including spiritual development.
• Evaluate the adolescent assessment tools currently in WV's compendium of indicators and make recommendations, paying particular attention to sampling methods, for subsequent editions of the compendium.
• Provide oversight, vision and leadership to the incorporation of other sector/theme-led life skills improvement practices into integrated life skills learning programs for children and youth 12-18 years of age.
• Engage with the Search Institute and other reputable agencies involved in gathering evidence on improved life skills/internal assets for adolescent to establish recognized and measureable systems for monitoring life skills learning across multiple WV technical sectors and cross-cutting themes (CCTs).

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED INCLUDE:
• Master's Degree in Education at a minimum (doctorate preferred)
• Thorough understanding of research design, sampling and both qualitative and quantitative
• Advanced quantitative data analysis skills
• Prior experience supporting/mentoring junior researchers
