Programme Coordinator Job Vacancy in Williamsburg Virginia, United States

Description:
The Peace Operations Training Institute is a small non-profit organization that develops and distributes e-learning materials for United Nations peacekeepers and humanitarian relief workers. We are based in
Williamsburg, Virginia, USA but our training courses are taken by military and civilian students located around the world, including many troubled areas: from Haiti to Ivory Coast to Timor-Leste.
We seek an experienced Programme Coordinator to provide support to the Institutional Programmes Department in building the organization's programmes and ensuring the wide distribution of our courses to various student populations through several distribution channels.

The applicant's duties will include but are not limited to:
• Assisting in the development of the organization's integrated marketing plan.
• Researching and recommending new distribution channels (e.g.: Amazon and other distributors);
• Implementing steps that would be needed to enter these new distribution channels;
• Assisting in the creation of promotional materials for various stakeholders groups;
• Coordinating and preparing promotional packages for mailings;
• Maintaining inventory of marketing materials;
• Interacting with institutional partners worldwide as needed on specific occasions;
• Assisting with data entry of Institutional Partners' information, dates of courses, etc. for the organization's website;
• Maintaining a comprehensive list of partners and other stakeholders for the (e) mailing of the organization's (e) newsletters;
• Assisting with the writing of articles on marketing/institutional outreach efforts undertaken to be published in the organization's (e)newsletters;
• Assisting with the analysis of data for PowerPoint presentations for promotional events and other as needed;
• Assisting with other special projects as needed.

Applicant should be self-motivated, dependable, flexible, comfortable taking direction, and comfortable working at a high volume when necessary. We are a small organization and all employees fill in as needed in response to changing needs.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Brand Management, or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and comparable skills
• Prior experience working in a marketing/brand management position and a record of noted professional achievement in awareness and brand building, preferably for an NGO.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to learn the organization's unique line of services
• Strong proficiency in MS Word and Adobe Creative Suite

Highly desirable:
• Comprehension of a second language (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, or Chinese preferred)
Compensation will be $40,000 commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position with retirement, group health insurance, and paid vacation. The work will be done at our Williamsburg, VA, office, with an expected start date ASAP. Some domestic or international travel may be required.
