Background / General description

Note: This is a one-year co-terminus ETC renewable appointment for one additional year. The Global Partnership for Education is a global partnership launched in 2002 of donors and developing countries , multilateral institutions and civil society organizations, dedicated to ensuring that all children receive quality basic education . It aims to achieve Education for All by efficiently using international and national resources and matching donors’
priorities with developing countries ’ own education strategies. The Global Partnership comprises all major donors and agencies in education, 46 developing country partners, numerous civil society organizations, private sector representatives and foundations. It manages trust funds that have allocated approximately $2.2 billion over the past 8 years and will be allocating approximately a further $2bn by 2014.
