Job Description
We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Training & Development to lead training assessment, curriculum design, vendor selection, training tracking and learning management system improvement related to business excellence and leadership training. The direct staff includes 3-5 training professionals dedicated to business & leadership training development & delivery. This role will also assist with development planning and training associated with high potential and successor development.

In addition to leading the Business & Leadership training team, this is a working manager position responsible for the development and implementation of leadership and business excellence training including the design and delivery of basic, intermediate and advanced leadership training, productivity training, and other business excellence training, as required.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Highest level knowledge of HR and personnel practices and principles, all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations.
- Highest level knowledge of training, career and organizational development techniques, policies and procedures, including all applicable EEO and ADA regulations.
- Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
- Ability to communicate technical info and ideas so others will understand.
- Ability to make appropriate decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
- Ability to apply varying leadership skills and traits that create solutions and results to unexpected situations.
- Ability to coach and motivate less experienced team members to achieve their goals.
- Ability to successfully work and promote inclusiveness in small groups.
- Bachelor's degree in business, liberal arts (psychology, sociology, etc.), industrial relations or organizational development.
- Usually requires ten or more years of experience in conducting needs analyses and developing and delivering training programs.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently provide FANATICAL support.
